In My Mailbox (3) @ 7:11 PM

In My Mailbox was started by The Story Siren. Click here to learn more about it!
Sorry for the abundance of posts for the past few days. I've been getting through a lot of books and joining a few weekly memes. I'm going to spread the posts out more over time :)
Okay, so for my IMM:

The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson
Everything is different. Seventeen-year-old Jenna Fox has just awoken froma year-long coma--so she's been told--and she is still recovering from the terrible accident that caused it. But what happened before that? She's been given home movies chronicling her entire life, which spark memories to surface. But are the memories really hers? And why won't anyone in her family talk about the accident? Jenna is becoming more curious. But she is also afraid of what she might find out if she ever gets up the courage to ask her questions.
What happened to Jenna Fox? And who is she, really?

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner (an Eclipse novella) by Stephanie Meyer

(I've always been a fan of the Twilight saga, but not die-hard. Stephanie Meyer released The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, and I figured 'why not?')

Bree Tanner can barely remember life before she had uncannily powerful senses, superhuman reflexes, and unstoppable physical strength. Like before she had a relentless thirst for blood . . . life before she became a vampire.

All Bree knows is that living with her fellow newborns has few certainties and even fewer rules: watch your back, don't draw attention to yourself, and above all, make it home by sunrise or die. What she doesn't know: her time as an immortal is quickly running out.

Then Bree finds an unexpected friend in Diego, a newborn just as curious as Bree about their mysterious creator, whom they only know as her. As they come to realize that the newborns are pawns in a game larger than anything they could have imagined, Bree and Diego must choose sides and decide whom to trust. But when everything you know about vampires is based on a life. how do you find the truth?

In another irresistible combination of danger, mystery, and romance, Stephanie Meyer tells the devastating story of the newborn army as they prepare to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullens, following their encounter to its unforgettable conclusion.
